Who can join this special China Tour
This
special China Tour is designed for anyone interested in discovering
the fascinating land, history, culture and people of the
most populous and vibrant nation in the world, a nation like no any
other. Day 1 - Day
3
Experience the Economic Miracle in Shanghai
Our journey
will begin from Sydney International Airport with direct international
flight across the Pacific
Ocean. We will land in Shanghai, the largest City of China.
Only when we set our feet on Shanghai will we start to be convinced by
Napoleon's statement: once this sleeping lion awakes, the entire world will be
shaken. The
cutting-edge technology, the-state-of-art infrastructure, the modern skyscrapers, the dazzling shops and the hustling and bustling traffic all
point to a miracle of economic transformation.
Among the highlights
of our Shanghai Tour are Pudong New Development Zone showcasing China's phenomenal economic development; the Bund , the legacy of European influence in
1930s; The Jade Garden, the classic
Ming Dynasty garden-style architecture decorated with cute
pavilions, lakes, bridges and rocks built in
1559; the Old City telling the story of its tumultuous past; and the
Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the tallest TV tower in Asia and the world's third tallest TV tower after the CN Tower in Toronto and the Moscow TV Tower,
which provides visitors with a bird's-eye view of this spectacular
city. Shanghai is a shopping paradise
in the world. Nanjing Road is simply the
paradise in a paradise. No traffic, only footpath, Nanjing Road is the world
longest shopping
street, stretching more than 5 kilometers from the east to west.
Everyday more than 2 million people from around the world shop here...
¡¡
Day
4 - Day 6 Explore Ancient Xi'an
If Shanghai symbolizes
China's future, Xian represents its past. Less than three-hour
domestic flight will take us from Shanghai to Xi'an, the ancient capital city of 11
dynasties with more than 2000 years of history. The famous Silk Road, the
symbol of the booming trade and close ties between Tang Dynasty and
Europe, started right from here. Xian along with
Rome, Athens and Cairo form
the world 4 most famous ancient civilizations.
Not
surprisingly many heads of states, including former US President Bill
Clinton chose Xi'an as the first stop of their official visits to China. Among the
most famous attractions we are going to tour are the Terracotta
Warriors
-
the
most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It
showcases the 2200-year old colored terra-cotta army of more than 8000
soldiers and horses protecting
China¡¯s first Emperor in the afterlife.
It
is the world heritage site designated by UNESCO;
the
Great Wild Goose Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist Temple
constructed in Tang Dynasty; the Huaqing Hot Spring where
emperors and their concubines traveled tens of miles from the Palace to bathe
and indulge; the
City Wall built to defend the Tang Dynasty Palace; the
Shannxi History Museum recording the
ancient civilization spanning thousands of years; and the Tang
Dynasty Paradise, a complete
recreation of the Tang Dynasty society where everything is of Tang Style -
the roads, the lakes, the shops, the streets, the food, the
clothing... It is only here that we will have
the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular Tang Dynasty Palace Dancing Show,
firework display and fountain film delivered with modern laser technology.
Day 7- Day 9 Relax, Rebalance and Refresh with Qigong and Massage Training at the Birthplace of Taoism
This special China Tour will provide our participants with a unique opportunity to
relax, refresh and rebalance by participating in a special
2-day exercise training workshop - Qigong for Health & Fitness and 1-day Chinese
clinical massage training by China's clinical massage specialists. The 3-day training will be conducted at one of the most
tranquil, relaxing and luxurious
resorts at the birthplace of Taoism.
Training schedule:
Day 1: Massage Relaxation
Massage Relaxation & Training
By Dr. Liu, Committee Member of China Massage Therapy
Association & Director of Medical Massage Therapy Department, Huxia Hospital, China
Day 2 -
Day 3:
Qigong Training Workshop by Alice Liping Yuan -
Qigong for Health & Fitness
National Exercise Accreditation Program - 15 CEC Points
Visit the Birthplace of Taoism
This special tour will also offer our
tour participants a lifetime experience to explore Taoist philosophy and Taoist way of living.
We will have the rare opportunity to visit Lou Guan Temple widely revered by the Chinese as the most blessed and sacred place under the heaven. Surrounded by
lakes, waterfalls, hills, forests, birds, bamboos and pandas, Lou Guan
Temple is the birthplace of Taoism where Lao Zi wrote and preached Tao Te Ching, the classical textbook of Taoism in the first century BCE.
Day 10-12 Indulge
in Magic Beijing
With renewed energy and reinvigorated
spirit, we will be ready to indulge in magic Beijing,
the capital of China, the host city of
2008 Olympic Games, and a most significant archeological site where, according to
archeologists, the primitive people known as ¡®Bejingners¡¯ already
haunted around
more
than seven hundred thousand years ago.
The amazingly rich historical legacy
interweaved with cutting-edge technology leaves visitors to this city with
so much to enjoy and explore. Among the highlights of our Beijing tour are
the
Forbidden City, the
largest and most intact palace in the world. Built by
more than 200,000 laborers for the third emperor of Ming Dynasty in the
early 1400s,
the
Forbidden City occupies 183 acres of land and contains more than 9990
rooms. It was the official
residence for 24 emperors and empresses spanning 5 centuries; the Summer Palace designed
eight centuries ago as a summer getaway for the emperors, empresses and
thousands of concubines. Surrounded by green
hills and lakes, the Summer Palace witnessed extravagant celebrations that
kept the pampered royal families from boredom;
Ding
Ling, the first imperial tomb ever officially excavated in
China. The 13,000-square-foot Underground Palace, a marble vault divided
into five chambers, lies 88 feet underground; the
Tian'anmen
Square,
the
largest public square in the world with
a capacity to hold more than 1 million people, the very
spot where
Mao proclaimed the
founding of the People's Republic of China; and
the
Great Wall , one of the 8 world wonders. Its first construction dates back to the 5th century BC,
when the rival kingdoms of the Warring States Period (453-221 BC) built
the wall as defensive ramparts against their enemies from the north. Later it was
extended and fortified under the rule of Qin Shi Huang,
the first emperor to unite China in the 3rd century BC. The scale and
magnitude of this spectacular manmade landmark is unprecedented in human history, so
much so that it is even visible to astronauts in the
spaceship.
China is home to Kung Fu. Beijing Kung Fu Acrobatics is celebrated
worldwide. Before parting this magic city, we will have the unique
opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking Beijing Kung Fu Acrobatic Show.

Who can join this special China Tour
This special China Tour is designed for anyone interested in discovering the
fascinating land, the history, the culture and the people of the most
populous and vibrant nation in the world, a nation like no any other.
Day 1
Transcend space across the Pacific Ocean
The exciting tour will take off from Sydney International Airport with direct
international flight across the Pacific Ocean. We will touch down at the
International Airport of Guangzhou, the southern city of China widely seen
as the capital of capitalism where China¡¯s economic reform first began.
After stretching our muscles and exercising our joints, we will transit
to a short domestic flight bound for Guilin, the first destination of our
China Tour.
Day 2 -Day 4
Step into the Fairyland
¨C Guilin, the Li River and Yangshuo
If you ask the Chinese where to go for the best natural scenery, the
answer is almost unanimous ¨C Guilin. Virtually every Chinese knows the
verse: ¡®the
landscape here is simply beyond compare¡¯.
Set in the supernatural karst topography, Guilin boasts some of the most amazing
natural
wonders in the world - the incredibly intricate limestone cliffs, zigzag
karst caverns, stalactites in dazzling colors and shapes, fascinating
underground lakes and shoals, crystal springs and torrential waterfalls
all against the backdrop of lush verdant mountains. The Li River in complete serenity mirrors the unimaginable artworks by nature.
According to geologists, such an amazing landscape resulted from crust movement of the
earth nearly 3 million years ago and subsequent air-slaking and water
erosion which eventually shaped the landscape of Gulin as it is today.
Among the
highlights of our Guilin tour are the Elephant Trunk Hill standing at the
junction between the Li River and Peach Blossom River like a giant
elephant quelling its thirst with the water from the Li River, the
Moon-over-water cave, the kaleidoscope of dazzling
and
imposing stalactites, stalagmites, limestone pillars, curtains, forests
and flowers, the twin gold-silver towers, the Slice of Sunshine, the
Pagoda of Sunset, the Reed Flute Cavern ¡ you name it. Everything here
is nothing but magic.
Winding
its way amidst the lushly green mountains and through the remote rural
villages virtually untouched by the modern industrialization, the Li River
captures the imagination of countless travelers from around the world. Its
stunning beauty has inspired Chinese poets for centuries.
Meandering the Li River in a most relaxing and enjoyable cruise is our
dream coming true.
The panorama of the Li River is incomplete without reaching Yangshuo,
another fairyland along the Li River ¨C the flickering bamboo groves, the
endless paddy fields, the wading buffaloes, the quacking ducks, the mist
winding around the emerald pinnacles ¡ a lifestyle modern people can
only watch and imagine from the distance.
Guilin is home
to many ethnic Chinese minorities. It is here that we will have the unique
opportunity to spoil ourselves with the spectacular outdoor performance
-Impression Sister Liu - against the picturesque backdrop of the Li River.
Directed by Zhang Yimou, the most celebrated Chinese film director on the
international stage, the performance highlights the stunning beauty of the
land, culture and people of the ethnic minorities living on the bank of
the Li River generation after generation.
Our Guilin Tour will
reach the climax of what is well-known as the No 1 Majestic Mountain in
Guilin ¨C the rainbow mountain overlooking ¡®the finest under the heaven¡¯, to quote a Chinese
poet centuries ago.
Day
5 ¨C Day 8
Marvel at the wonder of nature ¨C Kunming, Dali and Lijiang
After
parting Guilin, the Li River and Yangshuo, we will embark on a new
exciting trip to Kunming, ¡®the City of Perpetual Spring¡¯. It is only here
that ¡®the landscape is paramount to sanity and a new appreciation of
mankind¡¯s comparative insignificance¡¯. One comes here only to lament:
the built environment by man can never beat the beauty of nature.
For
centuries, the sheer charm of the landscape in Kunming has captivated and
amazed travelers from around the world, among them Marco Polo who
documented the fascinating land of Kunming in his travel diary ¨C The
Travels of Marco Polo in the 13th century.
Kunming
boasts some of the most amazing natural sceneries one could possibly
imagine. Among the highlights of our Kunming Tour are the Stone Forest
purely created by nature through millions of years of ¡®carving¡¯ by
wind and rain, the Seven-color Yunnan, opening up a spectacular vista of
the amazing land, culture and people of Yunnan, one of the very few places
which manage to escape the rapid industrialization sweeping across
the country. Life here goes on much as it has for centuries.
A train trip in soft sleeper will take us from Kunming to Dali.
We will wake up in another fairyland finding ourselves meandering on
Erhai Lake on a refreshing and relaxing cruise, tasting the authentic
green tea of the ethnic Bai minority, enjoying the traditional ethnic folk
dancing, climbing the majestic mountain, the best known mountain in
Southwest China overlooking Erhai Lake and the Butterfly Lake, strolling
the peculiar ¡®Foreigners¡¯ Street¡¯, the gateway to the Silk Road in
South China, and finally ending up in front of one of the most well known
landmarks in China ¨C Chongsheng Triple Pagodas, a historical legacy and
the Symbol of Dali.
The
panorama of China¡¯s quintessential natural sceneries keeps unfolding as
we arrive in magic Lijiang. The absolutely unrivalled landscape and the
rich historical legacy have made Lijiang a World Cultural Heritage Site
designated by the UNESCO. Walking down the old cobblestone streets paved more
than 700 hundred years ago, passing through the pristine town dotted with
ancient-style houses, we are turning the clock back for at least
hundreds of years. The charm of Lijiang, however, doesn¡¯t end here.
Historically Lijiang was known as Naxi Kingdom, home to Naxi ethnic
minorities. For Naxi people, the Jade Dragon Mountain is by far the most
sacred. The white snowcap on the top of the mountain contrasts the lush
green grass at the foot of the mountain with jingling crystal springs
running all the way down, sustaining and nourishing the happy
and tranquil life for the Naxi people generation after generation.
Day
9 ¨C Day 11

Day
12 ¨C Day 14
Discover the glamour of Hong Kong
If
Gulin, the Li River, Yangshuo, Kunming, Lijiang and Dali are a masterpiece
by nature, then Hong Kong is a masterpiece by man. The human imagination
and creation is fully demonstrated here. No space is left for further
development, no skyscrapers can go any higher, no shops are more dazzling,
no food is more savory, no lifestyle is more colorful, no people are more superstitious
yet pragmatic ... Hong Kong is not a city, it is a
different world, a world of fascination and excitement, and a world of
diversity and contrast. It is here that the east
truly meets the west.
Among the highlights of our Hong Kong tour are the Victoria Peak where we
will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the spectacular night scene of
this incredibly dynamic city. Cruising the Hong Kong harbor at daytime
will be an awesome experience in different dimension. Hong Kong is well
and truly a paradise for shopping. Our Hong Kong tour will culminate in a full-day free
shopping. Our tour participants will have the opportunity to stroll the streets of Hong
Kong at their own pace, exploring amazing sights and shopping for gifts and
souvenirs that will perpetuate the memory of the ultimate experience

While January is at the height of scorching summer in the Southern
Hemisphere, it is in deep winter up in the North. Hence a tropical world
north of the equator becomes a natural choice for a perfect January getaway.
Day 1- Day 3 Discover the spectacular landscape and exotic culture of
Hainan Island, the Oriental Hawaii
Our 10-day tour will take off from the Sydney International Airport across
the Pacific Ocean and stop over Guangzhou before we touch down on Hainan
Island, China¡¯s largest and most exotic tropical island with a size of
Taiwan.
For 1.3 billion Chinese, Hainan is cherished as ¡®the Island of Treasure¡¯ and
¡®the Holiday Paradise¡¯. For the rest of the world, Hainan is ¡®the Oriental
Hawaii without skyscrapers, a winter Florida without traffic jam, California
without the smog and Mexico's Cancun with more exotic flavor¡¯¡
The lush tropical rainforests,
unspoiled beaches and white powdery sand stretching for miles and miles; the
blue sea and the azure sky all merging into one on the distant horizon; the
wide expanse of misty waves and the dots of sails accompanied by coconut palm
trees dancing in the breeze ¡ all of which only forms part of our sensational
experience on this magic tropical island.
The
exotic culture, customs and the timeless traditions of the island natives
have captivated the outside world.
Linen jackets with colorful designs and drape woolen blankets with geometric
patterns over the shoulders or short jackets buttoned down to the front or
the left, long trousers with wide belts and long black scarves are loved by
the ethnic Miao men whereas jackets buttoned on the right with decorations
embroidered on collars and sleeves or high-collared short jackets and full-
or half-length pleated skirts are particularly favored by the Miao women. The
thatched huts or "branch houses" made of woven branches and twigs or bamboo
strips plastered with mud become their cozy homes, and a very fine mixture of
glutinous rice and rich vegetables packed tightly into jars for up to two
months form their favorite food ¡ Visiting the ethnic Miao and Li villages,
meeting the ethnic minorities and watching their colorful dancing will surely
thrill our tour participants.
Although the fascinating tropical landscape and the exotic culture make
Hainan a legend of its own, its economic development is
nothing short of a miracle. Touring Haikou, the capital city of Hainan, will
give our tour participants an insight into the island¡¯s amazing economic
takeoff. Once an ancient fishing town, Haikou has now emerged as a most
vibrant and futuristic city racing with its closest neighbor Hong Kong in
every respect. The picturesque scenery and highly developed infrastructure
has made Hainan a perfect choice for staging the Annual Asian Economic Forum
attended by the world most successful entrepreneurs such as
Microsoft Chairman
Bill Gates. The Annual International Coconut Festival held on the island
opens up Hainan to the outside world and the outside world to Hainan.
Our 3-day Hainan tour also features the taste of Sanya, the second largest
and southernmost city of Hainan, and the host city of the World Miss Universe
Contest in 2003. For the Chinese, one fails to reach the end of the Sky
without coming to ¡®Tian Ya Hai Jiao¡¯ in Sanya, the ultimate limit of the
universe. The dazzling and endless beaches, the romantic waves, the towering
mountains overlooking the blue ocean, the sensational seafood and the
friendly people will make our tropical getaway a lasting memory! In Sanya,
our tour participants will also have the unique opportunity to visit Nantian
Buddhist Temple, the largest of its kind in south China to experience the
serenity and spirituality at the sacred shrine.

Our 10-day tour will also offer our tour
participants the opportunity not only to expand skills and enrich
knowledge, but also to relax, refresh and reinvigorate by participating a

The 2-Day workshop will be conducted at a most
tranquil and luxury resort against the picturesque backdrop of Central Hainan.
¡¡
Day 6- Day 8 Explore the fascinating land, culture and people of
Vietnam, the hidden charm of the Southeast Asia
With renewed energy and reinvigorated spirit, we are
ready for our next exciting destination ¨C Vietnam.
Defined by the stunning beauty of its amazing
landscape, fascinating culture and the friendliest people on earth, Vietnam
is widely hailed as ¡®the hidden charm of the Southeast Asia¡¯.
The gorgeous beaches, magnificent river ways,
soaring mountains, amazing waterfalls, lush rainforests, savory cuisine and
ancient customs and traditions make our journey to Vietnam truly special.
Our 3-day tour to Vietnam features the thrilling
experience of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The colorful ¡®Old Quarter¡¯,
graceful boulevards, tranquil lakes, green parks, elegant French-colonial
architecture and classical Buddhist temples characterize this charming
capital city. Its intriguing blend of Parisian grace and Asian pace makes
Hanoi a superb destination for our tour participants to wander around and
soak up the atmosphere. Touring Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the National Museum
and the Presidential Palace will gain an insight into the history and culture
of this amazing subtropical nation.
Our 3-day tour also features Ha Long Bay, the
best-known natural wonder of Vietnam. Listed as the World Heritage Site by
UNESCO, Ha Long Bay boasts the most stunning natural beauty of Vietnam.
Dotted with more than 3000 limestone islets rising from emerald waters and
forming the most intriguing shapes and sizes of grottoes and caves filled
with stalactites and stalagmites spreading over 2000 islands, Ha Long Bay
symbolizes the national beauty and spirit of Vietnam.
Behind the amazing natural wonder lies an ancient mythical
story. In Vietnamese language, ¡®Ha Long¡¯ means ¡®the descending dragon¡¯.
Long long ago when their ancestors fought against foreign invaders from the
North, the God from the heaven sent down a family of dragons to help defend
their land. The family of dragons descended upon what is now known as Ha Long
Bay and began spitting out jewels and jades. Upon hitting the sea, these
jewels and jades turned into various islands and islets dotting the seascape
as we see today, forming a formidable fortress against the invaders. Thanks
to the God¡¯s help, the locals were able to keep their land safe and gradually
built it into a nation known as Vietnam today.
Cruising around the magic bay in the
refreshing breeze, experiencing the spectacular landscape and tasting the
divine seafood on board will make our tour to Vietnam an experience of a
lifetime.
¡¡
Day 9 Wave goodbye to Vietnam and
Immerse in the bustle of Guangzhou, the capital of capitalism for China
After bidding farewell to
Vietnam, we will fly for Guangzhou, the largest and busiest port city in
South China. Widely known as the capital of capitalism for China,
Guangzhou is the centre for trade and commerce in South China, a shopping
paradise where our tour participants will have the opportunity to have half-a

How our tour participants
evaluated the tours
China Tour May 2007
"What can we say!! An excellent tour all
round. Our two weeks in China far exceeded all expectations. Our China
tour produced a balance between social, cultural, historic, artistic and scenic sites and places of interest. Thank you for a wonderful
workshop in Xian. The days at the Gulf Resort produced a much needed
rest. During the tour, the food and accommodation were top class. We
felt truly spoiled. Thank you also for taking such a good care of us
all. Every minute of every day we felt safe knowing that you were both
there for us"

"Service was superb starting in
Australia. Care and attention of the tour group was wonderful. I felt
very escorted and cared for as a friend.
I have never before enjoyed a

shopping time perhaps a full morning or afternoon'
