Alice L Yuan
Specializing in exercise science and sports education, Alice Liping Yuan is a leading international Tai Chi and Qigong authority in researching, designing, developing and teaching evidence-based, safe, targeted and innovative Tai Chi and Qigong intervention programs for preventing cardiovascular disease, depression, dementia and falls, and improving mental health and cognitive functions.

Alice has conducted evidenced-based, safe and targeted national and international Tai Chi and Qigong accreditation training programs for exercise instructors, fitness trainers, physiotherapists, nurses and other health professionals and community volunteers in Australia and overseas for 20 years.

Alice was also a past gold medallist in national and international competitions, and has been invited to judge in numerous national and international Tai Chi and Qigong competitions.
Henry Zheng, PhD (UNSW)

Dr Henry Zheng is a research fellow in physical activity interventions for prevention and rehabilitation of chronic degenerative conditions. He received a doctoral degree in population health and community medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, the University of New South Wales. His PhD research focused on quantification of the effect size and dose-response of physical activity interventions in reducing the risk of and preventing coronary heart disease.

Dr Henry Zheng’s research interests span exercise interventions for prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, depression, dementia and falls; improvement of mental health and cognitive functions; and promotion of active and healthy ageing.

A key area of his research interests is in evidence translation through designing, developing and evaluating evidence-based, safe, targeted and innovative therapeutic exercise programs for prevention and management of chronic degenerative conditions.
