State and Regional Leader Program

The State and Regional Leader Program is designed to advance the training skills, further career development and expand training opportunities for exercise instructors, physiotherapists and other health professionals who are keen and have the capacity, experience and qualifications to be the leaders for the national exercise accreditation training programs in their own state or region. A primary objective of the State and Regional Leader Program is to enable prospective state and regional leaders to conduct instructor training workshops for the national accreditation training programs in their own state or region. The selection and appointment of prospective state and regional leaders is based on the following criteria:

(1) Training qualifications and experience
(2) Completion of a State and Regional Leader Accreditation Training Course
(3) Meeting the obligations of a state or regional leader

Should you be interested in completing a State and Regional Leader Training Course and becoming an accredited state or regional leader, please complete the following course application form and send back to Exercise Medicine Australia for assessment and approval. Once you are approved to attend a State and Regional Leader Training Course, you will be advised to formally register for the training course. It is important to obtain the detailed information on the benefits and obligations for a State and Regional Leader from Exercise Medicine Australia, which is available upon request.
